Lakeway Christian Academy would like to ask all voters and coaches to please consider voting for & nominating Madi Hawk for TSSAA DII-A Miss Basketball. The sophomore is currently the leading scorer for her 19-2 & #1 ranked team in the state in DII-A & has already scored 1,269 career points.  Thanks and best wishes for much success to all the players who are nominated in all classifications. There are many deserving and talented young ladies out there across this great state. Best of luck to everyone the rest of this season.

Did she play against Loretto? I don’t remember seeing her at the Gatlinburg Christmas tournament.

Really fun player to watch.. Plays hard and helps lead a young team that starts two 8th graders.

    • While I appreciate being credited with multiple accounts, I have to say that is not true. Will you please report back to your people that I am not someone who provides sharp, witty banter, but rather someone who is putting the shoe on the other foot for some people that have been repeatedly bashing others here and in real life for the past few years? Everything that I have stated has been backed by factual evidence or public record, so no need to be sharp and witty.
    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
