Tennessee High looking again after a little over a month

Matt Rhymer resigned today after being hired in January.

Another example of why I don't believe that college coaches make good high school coaches.  Once they get the taste of college football, a large majority of them are never going to be satisfied at the high school level and will always be looking to move back in to the college ranks.

Just my opinion from the experience of my observations over the years.

And the ones who lose here are the kids.  They have to be put through another period of uncertainty while another search takes place.

I want to beat the Vikings every year, but man this is just crazy for their team to have to go through another upheaval.   Let's not forget that last season they lost a player and a coach within a couple of weeks of each other.   In our game with TH last year I semi/cheered for them, as long as Boone won I still pulled for their guys if that makes sense.     It is a lot for a team to have to endure.          Viking Nation, this is predicated on the fact that I still want Boone to win, but I wish you guys the best and hope you get a top notch coach very soon.

Tragedy just continues to hit the Tennessee High community as well.  A volleyball player passed away just this past weekend.  Just unreal.  Prayers go out to the Tennessee High community.

What a year for that community. Couldn't imagine how hard it has been.

    • While I appreciate being credited with multiple accounts, I have to say that is not true. Will you please report back to your people that I am not someone who provides sharp, witty banter, but rather someone who is putting the shoe on the other foot for some people that have been repeatedly bashing others here and in real life for the past few years? Everything that I have stated has been backed by factual evidence or public record, so no need to be sharp and witty.
    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
