How long has it been since someone besides a Willco won the state championship? With Brentwood still on the board you can never count it out. But the odds are against them in my opinion.

2009 was the last year a WilCo team did not win the AAA Championship and 2005 since a WilCo team was not in the AAA finals.  Some of these girls were not alive last time a WilCo team was not in the finals.

Reverse sweep...nice! I wonder when the last time a MNPS was in the final four of AAA...never? Hume Fogg won AA last year, but there haven't been many with success as fas as I know.

I can't speak for final 4 but in 1992 Father Ryan won AAA and was the last "Metro" team to make it to the finals.  I know, not MNPS but at least Davidson county.  No MNPS school has ever made it the AAA finals.  Hillsboro has had a great run but I'll be shocked if they make past Brentwood AND Collierville today.  I've been cheering for them until now.  GO BRUINS.

likely Glencliff back in early 2000's for metro school.

The TSSAA website only lists Champions and Runners Up so Glencliff very well could have been in the final 4.  Over the past years (at least 8-10 for sure) Metro teams had to face WilCo in either region or sub-state so thats a tough task.  To me, the Hillsboro over Ravenwood is sub-state was a bigger upset than Ravenwood over Nolensville in the District tournament.

    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
