2022 Giles County Bobcats Thread

  You need to Wake-Up!  Giles has Talent, an I really think they will make it past the first round.  Opinions are like bungholes, everyone has one.  I see another match-up between Giles & Alcoa, this year. And this year, they'll see how FANS, with some CLASS, carry themselves.  

  Alcoa had a change in Staff and playing at the BrickYard, will a difficult game for them.  When they match-up, I'll buy your Ticket for ya, and then we can Talk about the Talent, which Giles has.  Let alone, One Heck of a Coaching Staff.  Big Joe will have the Defensive Line ready, and they'll shut them DOWN.  Which I predict them doing,to most of the TEAM'S in REGION PLAY. GO BOBCATS!

  Bad as I hate to say this BIGPURPLEMACHINE: I wish Marshall County the Best thie Season.  They have a heck of a STAFF, too, An it really takes a lot for me to even think about Marshall County having a good Season.  You know, as well as I do, the bitter Rivalary which lay between Marshall & Giles.  One that goes way back.  But, I do wish them the Best, an I will be pulling for them to have a good Season! Can't believe I just said that.

Calling down the thunder pretty early I think.......Calling out the Alcoa Fan Base, Questioning the New Head Coach and Challenging one of the best OL in the state in any classification. Wait till the Goons get a hold of this one......

Giles County is a good team, but Alcoa is another league they are GREAT year in year out and have built a dynasty up there. Giles is a powerhouse in there area but they are also a part of the weakest 3a region in my opinion outside of giles none of the other teams are super good, sequatchie is mediocre lately. Don't know much about community but they seem pretty weak and cannon/Grundy County are known to be cupcake level schools. It's not Giles fault though they got put in a region far away and I still have a hard time understanding  what got them placed in the eastern side of the bracket when Giles is almost west tn

You must have forgot Giles has an all state corner returning along with a running back who ran for almost 1000 yards behind Chaye McElroy. We have potential all state left tackle Amare smith as well as all around athlete Kamauri Turner, keep sleeping on the bobcats, it will only make them better!

Believe they have another great season but that ends with alcoa.

Giles County's two trophies (Gold Ball, '09, Silver Ball, '13) both came when they were sent West.

and not that it matters, but they *are* west of I-65

Yeah those travel times have to suck the energy out of players and fans alike somewhat.  Makes it impossible for fans to go to away games couldn't imagine going from Giles to Grundy just for a game

Giles is going to have to shore up that run defense. Lawrence County ran at will in the jamboree. That 21-7 score was very misleading. Game ended with LCHS on the 1 yard line. Only one possession for LCHS that didnt pick up at least 1 first down. LCHS missed a FG as well. Either LCHS has gotten much better or Giles is struggling with run defense.

the answer is probably a little bit of both. LCHS is improved, and GCHS is still tinkering with personnel on defense, especially versus heavy run teams.

trying to gameplan for a Wing-T offense is a tall task when facing a regular season opponent. I just wonder how much time they put into gameplanning for a one-off scrimmage?
