Had 2 pick sixes against Marion week 3 but not against Bledsoe.  I think we had one INT. against Bledsoe and may have dropped a few other potential ones but none returned for TDs.  Bledsoe's senior running back - #22 played really well against us - had their one score on a reception in which he broke some tackles and worked his way into the end zone.  That kid-22-got after the Rams all night on both sides of the ball - but Tyner has some dudes and steadily pulled away.  Didn't get to running clock til late in the game and think that will help us against Meigs and in the playoffs to get a four quarter test.

I heard that kid wanted to move to Meigs. Has ties to Meigs. Friends there and old coach and Family.

It’s at Tyner so I would think they would have a pretty good crowd with the session they are having. Meigs we bring a lot.

I'd say you will have more than they do, They for sure have a very good team but they just don't tend to bring alot of fan support.

Let’s keep it real here. Meigs has looked better but I’m not sure if it’s because they have gotten better or because the level of talent they are facing is worse?
Here is the key to winning this game for meigs.
     1. Long drives that take the bulk of a quarter

     2. Containing the WR from being able to get deep and make big plays

     3. Read option don’t worry about the QB the RB is the real threat.
     4. Don’t give up big plays.
    5. Limit the offense from being on the field as much as possible.

Signal is pretty decent. I would compare them to Bledsoe.  I believe we have improved.

Meigs is the best team we faced this season so far. Gonna be a good one for sure

Tyner has played Marion and Bledsoe. Meigs will not be the best team you have faced.

Bledsoe beat our boys in Decatur. That is a big statement. Meigs had chances to win the game but they didn't.

We only had 14 points against Polk before we punched that last score in the last minute last week to win 21 to 0.

I have been to all our games and watched several Marion and Tyner games on film. Meigs can play with Marion and that should be a great game to end the season at home for Meigs and will be huge for playoff positioning. I still feel however Marion has the better team. I would almost guarantee they will put a pretty good whipping on Polk tomorrow night.

Tyner however has a huge advantage over Meigs. I thought they were the better team last year when they came to Meigs. They were the younger team then facing a team that had been to state and was expected to go back with several all-state players and a Mr. Football Candidate. They looked like the better team last year and almost pulled the upset barely missing that 2 point conversion.

Watching those seniors on film this year they look tough. Miss one tackle and its a touchdown. They are solid all around and look like they are on a mission.

I am still pulling for Meigs however. I hope we can make a game out of it and keep it close. It will take some big plays and turnovers to do that I believe.

    • West would be a good team to get behind if they can pull it off again like last year. That championship game last year was awesome.
    • I say that because he stepped out of a MUCH better situation on his own than he would see at least his first 3 years at DCA and it would take at least that much to bring him back to coaching. There are other fish in the sea, but again money talks. Need to fix the girls hoops too. Now I'll try again. Who has Pierce locked in for his staff? Hearing a McGavock man but not the Iceman.
    • I’ve heard mostly good things from the gridiron. Lots of optimism. It sounds like the portal has mostly helped, though there are a few expected defections. Comeback year!
    • Rudesell 1 year at Crockett. Coach Tate 2 weeks a Bradford. South Gibson supposedly going with jcs middle school coach. Which isn’t who I thought would get it, I know the top 2 was between him and Obion girls head coach.
    • Looks like Trent Noah was released from his NLI at South Carolina with intent to pursue playing closer to home. Kentucky and Louisville both reported to be in the mix for him now.
