I agree if Coalfield was "A very Good team" they would compete with all three of you.Im not saying their not a decent team because undoubtedly they are, they have won the games they should BUT they havent played anybody but Gordy and got rolled. This is the weakest CF team I have seen when we played them at GB.2017 Coalfield had a really good team that would have challenged SP and beat Cornersville in the Championship.(Either one would have).

I think they are averagely sub-par on a decent night.

Last night we had a receiver that was racing towards the end zone,  around the 10-15 yard line or so, he turns and looks at the slower defensive back. I don't think anything was said but it drew a flag for unsportsmanlike.   Also we had a player that "high stepped" after not getting a call that also resulted in unsportsmanlike.

I don't know what has been "emphasized" this year, but those reactions by any kids will prove detrimental in the playoffs to their team.

Id love to see some pictures of the refs at  this Gordonsville clay game. The night westmoreland played clay the white hat done some very suspicious things in that  game. It actually got out of control due to the lack of calls. Then when a younger ref started calling the calls that needed to be made on clay the white hat called him over for a discussion. It was the oddest thing I’d ever saw and many others noticed the same thing. Never the less it didn’t work out for um! LOL

We had a TD on a kickoff called back this year and all our returned did was stick one finger in the air.....didn't look back, didn't taunt, didn't high step. These officials have got to use some common sense.

I try to go above and beyond board with these officials  because let's face it,  we need them.

But, I'm afraid some of us are gonna be at the hands of an old geezer that doesn't know when to swallow his whistle.

I'm not talking about obvious penalties.  I'm talking about the ones that are judgment calls.

Different officials have different levels of what they deem as taunting or unnecessary.

There's no easy answer.

I think the different associations should do a better job of making things consistent from crew to crew and region to region. What is called one week should ideally be called the next and what is let go one week should be let go the next week. I think most fans, players, and coaches would be happy if they could count on this to happen. Referees are human of course and will make mistakes, but knowing what to expect to be called would go along way. This is more a complaint against the entire system, not individual referees. Every ref I have ever had extended conversations with away from athletic contests were very likable individuals and definitely do not deserve the abuse that comes from fans, players, and coaches (even the ones that weren't the strongest officials). I do think the pay has not risen to the levels that it should to keep a lot of officials.
