Round 1 - Davy Crockett at West

Im sure everyone will pick West, but im interested to know more about Davy Crockett.

Are they better than last year?

Are they a more run or pass heavy team?

Any key players to look out for?

Not near as good as last year. They will struggle.

Crockett ran the ball pretty good against Boone a couple of weeks ago, but for some reason just started choking at the end of the drive.    Maybe Boone's defense had something to do with that too, but I can tell you that Crockett has a couple of good RB's, they are shifty and stout.     However, I cannot see them hanging around West for long, running clock in the 2nd half.    They don't pass much and when they do it is nothing spectacular.

The 4 Emile brothers quit the team after the Boone game. Crockett did kick a game winning field goal at Richlands last night.

What???  You're kidding...      I'm curious but don't want to necessarily get into personal stuff in the lives of students on an open forum like this.       Did Boone have anything to do with it, i.e., like playing dirty or whatever?   I sure hope not.....

I'd be shocked if this game doesn't start the 2nd half with a running clock.

I noticed #3 wasn’t playing on offense in the 2nd half didn’t notice on defense but he did play on special teams. I believe he talked back to the coach and he benched him. Thats going to hurt come next season.

Anyone got a score prediction for this one?

I am tempted to say that Knox West names the score in every playoff game except maybe Powell.    I will say that Crockett has a couple of really good RB's so if they can find a way to keep the ball and make long drives it might be closer than we all think... however being able to do that on every drive is probably unrealistic

Don't think it will be a 50 point differential, but Crockett cannot afford to get into a shootout and try to see who can score the fastest.    Crockett has to take their time on offense and just keep moving the sticks.  BTW I'm pulling for Crockett but thinking West something like 35-7
