The first round of the playoffs are to eliminate all the lucky sperm club starters or the daddy donates club. Just incase one slips through the cracks we have round two next week to make sure we got them all.

I agree with the post about the defense.  Defense played great.  Disagree about the starting QB.  He's getting recruited by Emory and Henry for sure, not sure who else.  He's not Whitson, but he's better than another former D-B QB who currently is on a D2 roster.  Shouldn't be hard to guess who that is.  

Emory and Henry and UVA wise are both D2 schools. I guess it's easy for tall dudes to go D2 even if they're trash at QB like those two are. QB is the most important position on the field. You don't score a measly 6 points on offense if you have a good or even decent QB.

DB defense sure played like they wanted it. QB just sucked. He has always sucked since he was a sophomore. DB actually had some decent wrs and dbs this year and last year. Oline play has always been good. QB just took a dump on the field. Should of been helping the kid from Abingdon more if you ask me instead of a bum who can barely throw a ball 20 yards. But ultimately that prolly has something to do with what's in my username.

The national coach search did interview a coach but turned him down and he didn’t even get a 2nd interview. He has gone on to win 2 state titles and came in 2nd one year. Would he have done that at DB? No one knows but everyone outside of S. Carter thinks DB made a mistake.

Surely no one really thinks there was an actual "national coach search". I know at the time that was the statement made by the school. It was insulting to the taxpayers/DB fans to even put out a statement like that.  The whole thing was a scam because they knew who was taking the job before Clark even announced his retirement. Everyone associated with letting Witten get away should be fired. If they're no longer in the system, they should be rehired and then fired.

Man am I glad they like the good old boy system for hiring and hope Witten stays right were he belongs in Elizabethton.

That's true but it's kinda sad on one level because there have been seasons they had the talent on the field to go all the way.

Science Hill is same way. They have won state in basketball and baseball and have never came close in football.  I think they have made it to 3rd round before. Idk if DB has made it past 3rd round or not.

They made it to the 3rd round in 2012 but got beat.
