Alco has been putting in the work to get some gooder players. The silver and purple have taken it to the next level. Hopefully the Lil fellers keep it close over the next two yrs when there will be more room for tuition “students” again.

Have to love the way Alcoa has attacked free agency this year. First the kid From IMG to help secure a basketball title.

Now they are adding Nico’s brother at QB and that kid from Carter? Props to the GM. heckuva job to stay under the Cap too

Alcoa's number one export is aluminum, Alcoa's number 1 import is High School Football Players. I say just go on ahead and schedule Oakland and get it over with. Who ever drew up this plan to put Alcoa in the catbird's seat like they have deserves some well known recognition for sure. Congrats on that basketball state championship also, very happy for those kids for pulling that off.

A lot of work going on in Tornado Land. Arconic....nor The Aluminum Company of America have anything to do with it.

Top players wanting to play with other top players have a lot to do with it. It starts with top level 7 on 7 teams....If you do not have one, you maybe losing talent to programs that do..........and to play for Randall Cobb does not hurt!

The next piece will be Schools that initiate a legal TSSAA NIL program. Hopefully Alcoa decides to take advantage of that too...

Got to move from California first. Something that has not happened. Plus, Webb now has a former UT coach at the helm. They would be my bet to land Madden "If" the family does move to TN.............

I figured Catholic because of all the UT connections there. The Judge and all the rest of the country club.

That 7 on 7 is definitely is one of the big key's while some of the people at Maryville are wearing blinders and not paying attention. Nero fiddled while Rome burned or in this situation Maryville is the one on fire.

Schools can't initiate a legal NIL Program.

They won’t be at catholic. Mother Mary and Tagaloa don’t jive well.

    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
    • Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?
    • Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach
    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
