Getting close to home with his wife's family.Getting clise to home with his brother and sister in Lake Co.Just never know where he may end up.

I do not care where he may end up as long it is not back at Lewis Co. Where ever he does end up as assistance coach they better keep him from calling offensive plays because he does not know what a pass is. He may be a good person, but not much of a coach in my book and a lot of others feel the same way as I do on it.

Say what you want.Coach Sharp is in Hall Of Fame.Yes him and Director are close.Coach Sharp is a great guy.Ive known him longer than anyone on this site. And  a lot of schools would love to have him.Glad him and his wife getting close to home and his and her family.

Why is he in the Hall of Fame. He never won a state championship or ever been to one other than to watch from the stands. I known him for 35 years other than being a good person that is all I can say about him.

Sharp- some great regular season accolades. The facilities over at Lewis are a throwback and I love them. Hall of fame!? Maybe a nice ceremony or something. Not Hall of Fame.

Also, he's acting like 75 yr old who just got divorced.  He needs to settle in somewhere. Quit bouncing. Keep it in your pants dude.

He has already been voted into the TSSAA hall of fame. He will be coaching defensive backs and running backs in Milan. Glad to have him onboard. I hear he is coaching his tail off for us already.

He should do good on the defensive side and running backs but just not as the play caller. He is not a Hall of Fame caliber coach. HOF coaches wins Championships and Lose Championships he has done neither

He will not be calling plays. And I understand what your saying just pointing out that whether you or me like it, TSSAA already has him in there.

Or maybe, just maybe, you have no idea what you are talking about! Since you think you know everything about Coach Sharp, did you ever think it could be something else in Coach Sharp's life that would cause him to move back to his wife's hometown, other than football.

Easy there little chucky. If I knew then I would not have been asking questions; hence all of the question marks “?” in my previous mentioned post.

But, since you asked, no, until your post, I didn’t think it could be something in his life (other than football problems) to bounce from a highly successful (HOF) carrier at Hohenwald to Columbia and then bounce after only one season. However, YOUR question begs to the issue there is something alluding to “something else”. Care to elaborate?

    • For perspective the county school I’m associated and graduated from only has 7,600 people in the entire county with a median age of roughly 47. That’s not very many 14-18 year olds to choose from. I think the football team had 25-28 kids or around there.  On the other hand Shelby County has 916,000+ with a median age of 36. This isn’t just about Shelby county, but all the big ones with huge economic advantages!  An urban/rural split would benefit tons of smaller schools that have to compete with counties with 120x the amount of people. Especially the ones who can pick and choose their players from a pool like that!   I also agree with Pujo about charter and magnets and they will eventually be phased into the private divisions because it is obviously an advantage plus all the funding! Add that county schools can’t go recruit outside of their county like charters and magnets!
