I've said many times that a large majority coaches play in the margins. 

But the point is going right over your head that in order for a student to be in that position he /she and the parents have to be looking to be recruited.  It's a 2 way street.

I agree.   Ultimately the parent has to be willing, but some coaches can get pretty “convincing”
