yes, there’s a massive problem, zoning rule in Knox County and only the TSSA Can fix it however, as long as it’s broken, every School is going to use it to their advantage so don’t get mad at the coaches or the players or the parents get mad at the people running this operation.

Here is your problem, TSSAA doesn’t have the authority to govern how a school district does their zoning or how they have their transfer rules.  That would be a massive Lawsuit that the TSSAA would lose in a heart beat.

It's TSSAA and they have nothing to do with school zones. School zones are set by the BOE of Knox County Schools. It's a political process. Up coming freshman are allowed to transfer into high schools out of their zone if the principal allows them to enroll. The allowing of freshman to transfer to schools out of their assigned school zones is an agreement with the US Office of Civil Rights/NAACP/Knox County BOE to desegrate schools. Long story that has been going on for a long time.

That’s not what I’m talking about.

let’s say a player from Hardin Valley moves like two houses down he still lives in the Harden Valley zone. However, he can pick whatever school he wants to as long as it’s in the 20 minute drive.

First that was a horrible example.  In this situation the player can choose to go to another school if the School Board and principal accepts the transfer.  If the student that transfers has an athletic record with the TSSAA and still living in the same zone (even if it two doors down) and attending a different school the student athlete must sit out 365 days since his last participation in that sport and then would be eligible.

You don’t have to sit out, that’s the thing Boo Carter just exposed that down in Chattanooga maryville got a quarterback transfer last year by Tsaa rule he should’ve sat out, but he didn’t he played. I don’t know how it works. Don’t know why it works, but it works.

Rorschach’s Journal August 22nd, 2023

The collected waste in the streets makes those in charge gag but no one does anything about it. Clean schools being defiled by discount human traffickers. Posters blame arbitrary zone lines so they can live out personal fantasies through 16 year olds’ exploits on a turf field. Elias287 sits in other teams dugout, must remember to investigate further. Never surrender.

I would start getting you information from someone else because you are incorrect.  Boo got dismissed from Chatt Christian and went to Brainerd where he was eligible to play basketball last year since he hasn't played basketball in 365 days.  He then moved to BC from Brainerd because he wouldn't have been eligible to play football at Brainerd since its not far enough away from Chatt Christian and had a football record with CC. BC is farther than 20 miles from Chatt Christian.  By TSSAA rules he would have had to sit out a year IF he didn't move into Maryville's Zone from the WB Zone.

Do you really think he moved houses from William Blount to Maryville? Let’s get real this is a real issue that’s been exposed by every team in Knoxville and probably Tennessee get richer in the poor will continue to be poor.

Do you even know how close the WB and Maryville zones are?  There are houses zoned for Maryville that are closer to WB than Maryville.  I do think he moved houses into the Maryville zone and don't think Hunt would take a chance of playing an ineligible player.  If you have proof other wise and other proof than what i explained about Boo turn them into the TSSAA.

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
