Since this team doesn’t have a topic to discuss them but everyone wants to speak on their behalf here we go. Btw they just got 4 more kids yesterday via a hardship from Freedom Prep. All 4 of them cats can play ball. One of them was FP QB last year. Not sure if I can keep my Union City pick with these new additions. Mase is about to have All Star team made off of 3 schools. I’m just keeping it real

"This past March, less than 10 of our student athletes transferred to a different school while Freedom Prep was undergoing leadership change in our athletics department. Before they transferred, our leadership team expressed concern to the students' parents that the student athletes might be deemed ineligible to play, based on TSSAA guidelines. Freedom Prep was not involved with the ultimate eligibility decision. Our leadership team will continue to evolve and enhance our athletics department for the advancement of our students and our network as a whole."

TSSAA strikes again. Combining two schools last season created  a 1A all-star team that failed to win it all so they allowed a third team to join forces in 1A. Memphis is skirting the rule. Charter schools should play in private division. They are hand picking athletes from across Memphis to compete against 1A teams from small rural towns. Definition of unfair competitive advantage and another TSSAA failing.

Does Freedom Prep have a football team this year?  Mom admitted before the appeal they didn't change their residence and left FP due to the quality of the program and they still won the appeal. Her son played in the Westwood/ Whitehaven area last year and now drives past 15-20 other schools every day to MASE in the Midtown area with friends and everybody is eligible. Fans at Fayetteville who TSSAA kicked out of playoffs after going 10-0 due to a bus route technicality have to love this.
