Beech @ Collierville

Beech (1-0) makes the long trip to Collierville (1-0) this week.

Beech is coming off of a win against in county opponent Station Camp, while Collierville is coming off of a win against defending 2A state runner-up Riverside.

Thoughts?

As you stated prior to the Station Camp game, there will be a few speed bumps along the way this season for Beech. This is one of them. I’ll take collierville by 10.

I think the Bucs' offense is a work in progress. They have big play ability, but I not sure they can put together long grind 'em out drives, which is normally their bread and butter, yet. The defense is legit. Ill go Bucs 21-10.

I agree the defense will have to carry them early. When the offense comes together this team is going to be a handful for anyone. I also think that Station Camp has a really good front seven and Beech was intentionally a little bland in the second half. Some points were left on the field or they could have easily scored 35, so… I think we see some of that sustained offense we’re used to this week.

Social media has killed a great deal of discussion on the T. I am guilty of it myself. I still love this site, but I find myself checking it less and less with each passing year.

Not many 5A/6A teams in the west side. The communities that do have schools of that size are mostly in/around the greater Memphis area, and fan support is notoriously non-existent there.
