I would imagine they would have dominate teams every year but not a national powerhouse.  There’s not that kind of talent in Anderson county (both schools) year in and year out.  But they could definitely have two and three year runs here and there and definitely win a whole lot more than they would lose!?  Who’s the coach? AC’s coach?

Interesting idea, Mav, especially since Clinton HS is already part of the county school system. I could actually see that happening eventually, as a cost savings measure for the county. That's usually the driver for school consolidation.

I don't think they'd become a national powerhouse, but they would certainly make some noise in 6A.

That would never be done. Too far for bus routes. They talked about doing this in Roane Co. Combining Rockwood, Harriman, & Kingston which makes more sense than AC and Clinton and it still did not happen due to bussing issues.
