In 2020 Marion canceled for covid and a lot of people got mad. The next year SP got put on probation and the new coach said he wouldn't schedule in case there was anything that happened in the game that would jeopardize their chance to get to the playoffs. The newest coach at SP just carried on with the rivalry hiatus when he took over. If it would have been played in these next 2 weeks it's easily a $50k gate..

i’ve heard smith is big but lacks athletes and ER is isn’t as good as everyone says. i haven’t seen either of them play so i’m not sure if either is true

Owls are very big and physical but ran out of gas late against us. Granted that was week 1 so conditioning have improved. Also they do lack true speed at the skill positions. They are a solid football team but very beatable

I've watched both play. What you've heard is true. Smith will just pound the ball and ER has kids that can score on any play. Hard to overlook anyone because you never know when you'll have an off night.

sounds like both are very beatable to me. if fayetteville matches the physicality in the trenches they’ll beat beat smith county. they’re definitely capable but no telling if they’ll execute
