I heard this was possibly gonna happen but was hoping it wouldn't TBH. Should be a lot of interest in this job imo. Had not heard this yet. Did this come out today?

It sort of came out slowly...I think maybe the 23'rd was when he stated it publicly, but I could be wrong. You folks should attract some top notch applicants with the facilities available and your recent talent level. With good financial compensation and "control" of football operations at the level of someone's satisfaction, I'd expect HC to land a coach that would move the expectations even higher for the program.

HC is going to attract a lot of candidates. From OC / DC to Head Coaches this one should have no shortage of quality applicants.  HC has always been a really solid team, I do however think they are in for a tough year next year (compared to where they have been the past few).

I saw it on the Hardin county sports HOF Twitter I think on Christmas Eve. Apparently Smith will be staying on as AD.

Agree with all of this.especially the control part. Want a good coach got to completely turn the program over to him.
