Maryville had a down year, now you could definitely call this a “trash” season if you look at their history, but as of right now, it was a down year, and who knows what they could’ve done if Gage LaDue didn’t get hurt.

They are a Big Fish in a Small Pond. Tennessee High School Football is Decent but far from what anyone would consider a Powerhouse. Supposedly the Best Team in the State at the Start of the Season was LA. They decided to Schedule a Real Powerhouse in IMG ACADEMY. It got Real, Real fast and they were Embarrassed 35-10. That same LA team would hang 30 easily on Alcoa. I would say since Alcoa has been to the Top of the Mountain in State Titles, take your Titles and go to South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama or Mississippi. There are Great teams in those States that would enjoy the competition. You have Won 9 Titles in a Row. Get out there and play other Top teams. Complete against the Best. It will Never happen because a 15-0 Record looks better than a 14-1 Record.

Alcoa plays one of the toughest out of region schedules in the area I don't see many other 3a schools playing 4-6 a schools and congratulations to them on their 9th in a row and 22nd overall
