Went and watched the game again vs Riverside. OL failed Groves with so many missing assignments. Didn’t call enough Run plays to outside. Power and inside run obviously wasn’t working gotta use the speed to hit the edge and it wasn’t called. Gotta fix a lot of things this season to make sure the Indians are hoistin the gold next December

QB is exceptional for a freshman. Most everyone in his family is 6’5” and played ball at Vandy, hoping he gets that size as well.

Didnt know that about size as he is good size for freshman, hes got some moxy could ba an all state type QB if the OC will open the play book and hopefully gets developed well.

Huntingdon tried to get around the corner on Riverside without much success, and they're as good at it as anyone...not saying that maybe they shouldn't have tried it more, but you can't just assume that it would have worked. The one big yardage play that went to the outside was defended, kid just pulled out of the tackle before help arrived. Unless ER had better speed on the line to pull the guards than anyone else on the Panthers' schedule, they wouldn't have had more success than them either, and you already said that the line "failed" Groves with missed assignments. Credit where it's due...Riverside's defense was stout against the run, both up the gut and around the edge.

ER has much more speed than Huntingdon. Riversides front was phenomenal. Not running anything outside when you are the more athletic team is disappointing. Gotta get 2 the ball more.

    • The golf preseason came to a close Friday at Indian Hills as the I-24 Invitational hosted by Rockvale was contested. Webb School won the title by 13 shots 295-308 over Rockvale. Rockvale girls won the title by five shots over Providence  Christian 155-`160 after the Lions won the 1913 Invitational at Johnson City by 10 shots over Greeneville. The course was wet and muddy in the morning but the rain finally broke and some good scores were had. The Webb School boys had Phet Phothong score a 69 while Carter  Burks shot 70 following up his 72 in Johnson City on Monday. The girls had Solia Mechling of Rockvale lead the way with a 73 in taking the title as they improved their score by 30 shots over Monday in East Tennessee as they found the homestead Indian Hills to their liking.  Rockvale and Central Magnet will head to the Battle of Hermitage on Wednesday July 31st. On Tuesday Stewarts Creek and Smyrna will do battle at Smyrna Golf Course  with an early tee time of 11 AM. The next day Oakland, Webb and Nolensville will tee off at Champions Run beginning at 9 AM. Eagleville will open on July 29th heading to Lawrenceburg and the Country Club awaiting host Lawrence County and several other teams to tee up the regular season. The season will end in October at Sevierville when state champions will be crowned.
