Villers and several other kids could have gotten in if they would have showed up been on weight, and utilized the standby list. 132 had a kid that busted weight and he would have been the first entered. It sucks it works that way.

Josh,

How many txs have been to across this country that a last second decision happens to let a kid in? How often do kids not make weight at the higher level? How often is a 34 man bracket expanded to 35? Those are my points!! I didn’t even bring up what weights but there was little reason for Dylan to maintain weight when we certainly didn’t feel we had a chance. Dylan should have finished higher than 3rd and we don’t leave it up to other people! However he did lose to a 2 time state champ and another returning state champ. He did happen to beat the 138 state chAmp so we did feel we had some room for debate. Didn’t happen!!!
Glad y’all got Hart in and was able to expand the bracket to 35. Dylan is up there watching and might make it in next year!!

on to freestyle and grecco!

Good luck to Hunter and bri g home the Gold!

Yikes. Kid is committed to Penn State and an animal

My son wrestled Sealey, good times.   The best part is me laughing at him on camera just off the mat.  Curious to see if Max can score.   My son also spent a bunch of time wrestling Max in the off season, so know him and his style quite well.

Great opportunity for Max nothing to lose. Get to see where you are at in your wrestling

I highly doubt Baylor coaches decided who got in… if that’s what you are inferring.

These are facts. If you don’t show up on weight and listed standby you won’t get in.

    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
