If it's Loretto, that would be a rematch from 2 years ago.  I think it'd be a really good game.  Two well coached team with plenty of talent.

I truly don’t think TSSAA purposely screws teams with the bracket. There is no benefit to TSSAA to putting the best teams on one side of the bracket. They don’t make more money by doing that. I d

We played Loretto a couple years back at substate and our girls said that was one of their hardest games of the year!

Yeah we just beat the Greenfield team in Regionals but they have a solid team. 

NG beat oak ridge and Daniel Boone this season.  They are a defensive nightmare and stall the ball.  If they get a lead, it's all but over.

Gotta pick Loretto to advance. CC has a shot, but will have to be almost perfect. Westview is very well coached, but their offense is too backcourt oriented... stifle the two guards and the rest will struggle against Loretto's length and size.

In 2A, if anybody wins it out of the top half there can be no question as to who is the best.  If you have to beat York or McMinn Central, Gibson County, Huntingdon   or Summertown just to get to Gatlinburg Pittman (barring an upset) to win it?!  That’s crazy.

Would give anything to be in 3A versus 2A this year.

Don't anoint anyone just yet...same bracket in boys 1A a few years ago with most everyone picking Booker T. Washington going in. Lake County upset them 1'st round, then Perry County beats Lake to get to the championship game and everyone thinks since all the favorites were in the same side of the bracket that PC has it in the bag. You've probably already guessed that PC brought home the silver ball that year, but the real point is that not one or two, but every game on that side of the bracket was a big upset. That's why they play the games, and why so many love sports...it ain't over 'till it's over!

      Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.

      What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?

      Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?

      Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
