TennesseeValley
Why did they only have 9-10 girls on the team this year? You would think with a dozen state titles in the school’s history that everyone there would want to come and play there? Are they losing athletes to other school’s? And why did this last coach leave after a winning record and upsetting Page in the postseason. Whoever gets the job, what has to be done so that everyone in Shelbyville will be all about Eaglette Basketball again?

Amazing how Riverdale, Blackman, Oakland and Stewart's Creek seems to be very down. Amazon how these schools and cities are growing by leaps and bounds and obviously can't find 5 good basketball players. I lived in Murfreesboro for 15 years and I sold real estate and it is hard to comprehend. 4 hours ago, TennesseeValley said: Why did they only have 9-10 girls on the team this year? Now if only reuter would go somewhere.

My take, this years Coach did a very good job last three years with material he had. Old School style that did not always mesh with today’s kids and parents. Heard several had said they would not play next year if he returned. And yes SCHS had lost kids to Webb, Cascade and Unionville. Will be like starting over for whoever gets the job I’m afraid. Good luck.

Shouldn't have to recruit at these huge schools. Edited March 24 by pioneer42

If Insell didn’t have the recruiting machine back in the 80’s, 90’s and early 00’s I wonder how many state titles White County would’ve had?

RuCo is adding a new HS every 4 years, that's going to dilute the talent a little bit. Oakland gets the most out of their talent, not as flush with talent as Riverdale/Blackman were or have been

Back in the early glory days of Blackman anyone could have coached those teams to state titles with multiple Division 1 and 2 athletes. Just needed someone to open the door and throw the balls out. Basketball44Guru
Turnham takes the Warren County job after being at Shelbyville. Neither are winning their district, it has to be a lateral move at best. Warren County will be looking for another coach in 4 years because Turnham does not stay anywhere very long.
