Dyersburg @ Lake County

Hearing the freshman QB for Dyersburg is getting the start this week.

Going to be an uphill battle for LC not having but 24 players and no depth.Starting lineman got hurt against Central and out for the season.Chamberlain who plays receiver ,running back,And QB was out most of second half.Starting running back Gross looked to come out with about 3 min left in Central game with ankle injury.May been a minor sprain.And I haven't heard this except from Central fan,says 2 LC players were ejected for a skirmish on sidelines.If true,they will probably be out one week.All I heard was off setting penalties on the play.So not sure who will line up for LC.

This game was 42-6 at halftime a year ago. I don’t think the gap has narrowed that much to expect anything but a Trojan win Friday night.

Me either as far as Dyersburg winning.But If LC is down 3 starters ,for one injury and possibly 2 ejections,and possibly two best ball carriers also.But in saying that.Dyersburh isn't as good as last year.Dyer Co put a whopping on them.They will beat LC but let's see when they play Haywood,Covington etc.

Covington is hands down the region favorite.

That gap is not as wide as you think. Dburg is not close to the team they were last year.  Also hearing that one of Dyersburg's key players may be out for season with injury sustained in practice.

The schedule makers did not do Dyersburg any favors. They open the season  with three straight road games: Dyer County, Lake County, and Covington. By the time they get a home game vs. Bolivar, their fanbase and players will be ready for some home cooking.

Have dyersburg fell off that bad? I thought they were good this year?

I won’t be able to tell you about them until after they come to Covington next week.

Im sure Dyersburg will get the W but it won't be a convincing man handling. Dyersburg lost a lot of Seniors last year and are going to be in a down year for them historically speaking. I'm not saying they won't make the playoffs it's just a down year. It happens. Look for Lake Co to put up a fight but I say Dyersburg wins by 14. I hope they're not looking forward to next week at Covington and slip up and go 0-2. If so, look for the Trojan faithful to be in an uproar

They are very young this year. After graduating a huge senior class last year, they only have a handful of Seniors this year. Biggest problem they are going to have this year quality depth and that really showed in the Dyer Co game. There's a huge drop off in many key positions when they have to go to their backups which is something they didn't have to deal with last year. I believe they could compete for third in the region, but I don't feel that they will be able to compete with Covington or Westview at the top. I just really didn't like what I saw in the scrimmage against Milan and the game against DC.
