Pretty sure DC started 6 sophomore and a Freshman on D last week vs SC. #22 rb , broke his collarbone 2 weeks ago and started a Freshman this week at rb. Very young team. Dress about 38 kid.

Here are the 5A rankings according to the Tennessee Sports Writers Association. Somebody tell me what is wrong with this picture.

  • 1. Page
  • 2. Sevier Co
  • 3. Beech
  • 4. Southwind
  • 5. Munford
  • 6. Powell
  • 7. Shelbyville
  • 8. WEST
  • 9. East Hamilton
  • 10. Tennessee High

How can West, the back to back state champions that just beat Powell at Powell be ranked 8th behind the team they just beat?  The real answer is the morons that vote on this, don't actually watch the games.  But they ain't paying attention.  I have West back in Chattanooga for a shot at the 3 peat.  According to Max Preps strength of schedule rankings, West has a sos of 25.5,  Powell 14.6,  Page .4, yep Point Four! And Seveir Co sos is in the negative. Lol.  Like I said somebody ain't paying attention.

That's crazy.  I always beleive playing good teams makes you better.  West is definitely an argument for that.

This is a shout out to the "hot piss" boys of Heritage and a shot at weak #### region 3.  Heritage would have been a 1 or 2 seed in region 3, (1 seed if they played and beat OR).  Anyway Heritage demolished the 2,3, and 4 seeds from region 3.  Coach O and the eers beat Lenoir City 45-0, beat Karns 35-0, and beat Clinton 61-13.  And Heritage did not even qualify for the playoffs out of region 4.   Wow.  Hats off to Heritage on a good season (should be in playoffs) and how weak is region 3.  Region 3 could very well be swept out tomorrow night.

Crazier fact than sos for West is the fact that 9 out of the 10 teams on their schedule made the playoffs with the exception of Heritage who in any other region on this side of the state probably makes it themselves.

Exactly!  Great point.  I think the Rebs use the next couple weeks to tighten some things up and continue to improve.  I like where the Rebs are sitting right now.  I have to consider them the favorites from the East to get to Chatt.  

Did I see where DC was down to 38 players?  I feel for them boys and the program, they have to lose $ to come down here to 3300 and take a whuppin'.

Yeah for West the gate wont be great either from the students due to young life retreat this same weekend so that will hurt us as well.

      Didn't misinterpret any thing. He was throwing our players under the bus saying they werent trying and then made a comment like Westview's jersey was in GC and Union City's head. My comment was that Westview has tons of talent especially with the transfers that have came in. Sure wasn't we choked out with the talent they had last year. I don't know if he is a South Gibson Fan or a Westview Fan but this is a message board and I for one am going to defend my school.

      Correct me if I'm wrong Guru, but I interpreted what you were saying as some Westview opponents having a mental block to overcome because of the name on the uniform.  Much like Duke or Kentucky in Men's college hoops. I do think you're wrong about Gibson Co. being that way. They are Duke's North Carolina. No fear there! Think Pioneer misinterpreted what you were saying and lashed out with the "transfer rhetoric." Anyway back to the present, I believe the parity in the district will be good this year, much like the days when Obion Co. battled those two in district.
