Sommers
Rampage is not the toughest person to wrestle for Raleigh Egypt as that title would go to 1979 State Champion Mason McDaniel. I actually agree with Mr Irish from Florida on this one. With memory, he'd have to agree Mike Blosser was another all time brutal beast in 82. Connell vs. Logsdon? May be a great tag team too?!? Who all has won gold in international competition from Tn?
neylandbryant
when did rampage wrestle in Tn? obviously only a select few of TN wrestlers can say they challenged a UFC great or more specifically, a California wrestler, so who in this state has ever beat the best of the best when it mattered as an adult? Sommers
Can't say for sure, but I believe my two brothers wrestled a few pre-UFC guys in the 90's and held their own. I forget some of their names Tito was one they both took on, unfortunately not tag teaming!! Brother Jacky beat one or two in the eighties if memory serves me correctly. tbroadway
If I were to think best to ever wrestle in Tennessee I think.....Charles Mctorry ! You could also put Kelly Felix in there too ...but I'm young so I haven't heard of any other guys you all are naming.

Freestyle4life
Aaron Bateman from FRHS. He is so bad that myths are made up about him, much like Chuck Norris. I heard he once met the Pope and the Pope actually asked for his blessing. Truth.

mustachiomenace
LOL-Bateman was a fine wrestler but he is not on the " baddest man " list. Better watch you say there man. They were once going to name the bridge at Father Ryan after Aaron Bateman but then the decided not to because no one crosses Aaron Bateman. Freestyle4life
LOL-Bateman was a fine wrestler but he is not on the " baddest man " list. So your telling me Bateman (3xer) who was a freak athlete, on top of being a very good wrestler, isn't badder than some of the kids mentioned who wrestled around 130? They may be technically more sound, but Bateman is bad man... a bad terrible, terrible man.

They may be technically more sound, but Bateman is bad man... a bad terrible, terrible man. Read the whole thread. Question was " baddest man " not good wrestler. Rampage and Shazzon Bradley are the only ones that come to mind. A couple of historian types mentioned some names I am not familiar but for my money the big guys who took their wrestling skills from the mat to the ring or cage are going to win out over Bateman and other guys who wrestled well in high school. HSDAD
Daniel Crosby comes to mind. He has an attitude that can't be taught! If I was in a bar fight, I'd want him at my side.
THEANIMAL
SHAZZON BRADLEY, SCOTT WELLS AND DANIEL CROSBY GET MY VOTE. I DON'T THINK THE ANIMAL COULD HAVE HANDLED THEM IN HIS PRIME.
