Good for Tapp

I am new to the area, so I don't know much about Coach Bailey, but I know that Tapp will turn things around over in Harriman. I am glad to see it happen. Harriman has had rough times in recent days, and it will be interesting to see what happens in 2A football. Harriman can only get better and Coach Tapp is a good choice for the job.

which coach tapp got the head football coaching job at the high school? baron is not a faculty member. so, i am assuming that it was the other tapp that was an assistant at harriman high. correct or wrong on this? my understanding is that you must be a faculty member in order to be the head coach of the football team, and baron is a resource officer.

Benny Collins is the head honcho at Oakdale these days.

Collins resigned at the beginning of this semester, after just one season at Oakdale. He accepted a job at Rockwood Middle School and will be joining another former Oakdale assistant, John Daugherty, as an assistant on the Rockwood High staff next season.

His successor at Oakdale has yet to be named, as far as I know, though asst. coach William Childers, formerly of Grundy Co., looks to be a candidate.

Congratulations and best wishes to Travis at Harriman, and to Benny and John at Rockwood. Oakdale certainly misses these guys.

I think I speak for all the former players of coach malcolm pendergrass by expressing our extreme joy of the hiring of coach tapp. he'll do one heck of a job and get harriman football back on top.
