faninthestand......The Cougar offense played 3 series or so as a full unit it looked like, with some changes here and there and the rest of the time was rotating subs in. The D played very little before backups starting working in. I dont know Pages program that well, but it looked like the same group of kids was playing the whole time for the most part. Someone correct me on that.

Bottom line ..Page is a3a school and they don't have the luxury of all that 5a depth. Besides they had 4 def starters out and three on offense with 7 soph. starting. Yes they played them a lot .... they open next week and needed some testing. Centennial slipped up on some people last year with a very favorable schedule.... Bates is the real deal....but this year's schedule....7-4 I will be impressed.

Very good summary of the jamboree sportsguy... perhaps you are a local sportsguy (aka writer)??? I've felt all preseason that Centennial will be better than many think. Last year was NOT a one year thing for either of the Franklin schools. Not to look ahead, but the Battle of Franklin should be a great one this year.

Ravenwood's uni's... eww. That's all I have to say. And I agree that was a very sloppy, penalty-laden game. Anyone else see the end of the Page/Centennial game though? Now that was exciting.

 

Appologize for all the confusion earlier. I couldn't really tell who was playing for Brentwood and who wasn't. I didn't even know till this morning that Welch played... and I call myself a fan. Not even paying attention. Way to be me. I'll just keep my mouth shut next time .

Uni's were a baby poop gold, with flat red accents, with a flat red helmet.

 

Terrible - these uni's will fire up the team because they will need to fight for respect after having to wear them.

Face it, Brentwood was dominated in every phase of the game. They were humiliated!

 

We should have run the score up in the last thirty seconds. Bell could have made an easy field goal or we could have run a hot pass for six more! Before you other teams get on me. I would only say this about Brentwood.

 

Bush should add Brentwood Football to the Axis of Evil along with Iraq, Iran and N. Korea. I hate em, everyone in Franklin hates em. I can't wait to humiliate them on their field this year on Comcast and dance a jig on the middle of their field.

Also to add that it was just a scrimmage, welch looked horrible but hes not for sure a starter yet and he can improve very much before week 7. dont get too pumped up bc brentwood didnt look that hot at the begging of last year and looked wut happened. some heads will be turned when bwood gets to play all of their starters in a live game sitiuation. they may not have the greatest depth right now but thier starter more than make up for it. but it was jus a scrimmage both teams will improve alot b4 they meet in the regular season, and itll be a game u wont wanna miss.
