AT UT, not in your lifetime unless he buys a ticket. The kid is big, quick and a good player but not bigtime D1. If he does go to vandy and red shirts he might be 2nd string. He should look at CN, MTSU or TN Tec. These schools would fit for his skill and size in my view.

 

What happened at he end of the game, this is the first I heard of this?

Scooter Houston and Aaron Carson for JCHS were tossed out, but Brandon Fanney was not. Coach Meadows is heading to Nashville today to try and get the suspensions for next week for both players overturned.

 

From talking to one of my colleagues, he tells me that the game tape of the incident should be able to clear at least Carson in the matter, but it is difficult to say about Houston.

 

As for Fanney at UT, I don't think he is at that level right now. He eventually could be with a lot of hard work, but I agree that he would be better suited at Carson-Newman or MTSU.

For whoever said that jefferson county = carson newman, well if i dont recall a kid by the name of la rue (not sure if spelling is right) is at carson newman, i belive that is calling the kettle black!!

# 5 and # 87 was being punched at, and did not retaliate other than to protect their quarterback. The zebras let this game get out of control early, when their defense took a obvious elbow to the helmet of JC QB. Then the obvious missed calls, against Mtown on their tying touchdown, the hold that was directly in front of the side judge. Any thing that blew up from this game, should be blamed on the officiating crew. I do not like to blame things on the refs, but this blow up was obvious. In a rival game, things should be called tight, both ways, all game.

I was at the game and it was one of those games you hated to see come to an end. With that said...I would have to say that Jefferson County and their coaching staff were utterly and completely CLASSLESS! Coach Woods and his staff showed what class is, but then again...they do that on every other Friday night of the year. Coach Woods is a class act, and so are majority of the Trojans.  Now I'm not saying that Jeff co. doesnt have all classless players, what happened last night I blame mostly on the coaching staff.  But this was a great game all the way to the end, but someone needs to teach the Patriots a little about class.

once again a morristown fan sees the ending of a game the way they want to see it, which is not at all. The TSSAA has cleared Scooter Houston and Aaron Carson of any wrong doing, as in throwing any punches at any West players.

As as far coach Meadows being classless, BOY that is calling the kettle black!!

I wintnessed last year coach Woods cussing a referee at the JV game and for some reason getting away with it. I put coach Woods in the same classification as coach Jim Swafford of South Doyle, they are two of a kind. There were no Jefferson County coaches tearing down any signs on the fence, maybe a fan but not a coach, fans will be fans.

I also understand that #98,pee wee Fanney stuck his finger in coach meadows face and called him an S.O.B. Thats real class for you !!! As far as the team running out on the field to start something (BOGUS)!! Everyone thought that the game was over and did not notice the clock had stopped. So Trojan fans all your hopes and dreams of a Jefferson county player not playing this week just went up in smoke (POOF)!!!! If any player should have been thrown out of the game it was #98 when threw an elbow and then a knee on Parker Clement"s head when he was down on the ground. The only reason you hoped and prayed that a Patriot was being thrown out was the fact that the so called best defense in history of Trojan football was NOT !!! GO PATRIOTS!!!

It was artiefeelgood's atempt at humor and I guess you didn't get it.

Oh, by the way, from what I have heard, Fanney has already been offered a couple of D-1 rides.

Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Alabama are all on the table.

So get your facts straight.

I said West would win and they didn't.

I can eat crow and that is cool, but don't dog a kid because he is agressive and mean at times.

The fact is..... Fanney is more of a talent than anyone on the field friday night and just because his team didn't win, doesn't deminish that.

I remember a real ###### that played from Jeff County by the name of Spencer Riley and he turned out to be a pretty good college player.

I hated him when he was at Jeff County and then loved him when he was at Tennessee.

That is just the way it is, but don't let your love of your school shadow a kids talent.

Thanks for info on Fanney's willingness to vouch for Scooter and Aaron. That shows class on his part. I am sorry the ref marred the end of that game because it was one of the most exciting high school games I have seen.

well kids here how i see it. I dont know what happened for sure or what kind of kid Pee Wee is so I am going on what people tell me.

 

BigDaddy you know who this is, but I talked to a former Trojan and we talked about what happened. Of course his take on the game is we got lucky cause West played like crap but thats beside the point. He played with Pee Wee and his take was that Pee Wee was a dirty player but they all were.

 

If Pee Wee was going to vouch for my boys then I will shake his enormous hand and walk away from him with respect.
