Hillsboro freshman team is by far the best ever, sitting at a comfortable 5-0. Not one team has even opposed the Hillsboro freshman team. Hillsboro freshman are led by most of the people from J.T. Moore, with stars like Devante Allen, Ricardo Bryant, Brandon "Steroids" Vanderloop, Micheal "cave man" Bognar, Jordan "THE arm" Hale who had many touchdown throws his 8th grade year, all of these guys dressed out with hillsboro varsity as they killed lawrence county, 47-12, I'm a Tennesean writer and former college scout, and Maryville freshman would not have a snowflake's chance in heck against this freshman team. In fact, the hillsboro varsity should have beat them in state had it not been for a big late mistake that cost them the ball game.

Those frehmen might get their chance someday to play Maryville. And as you say maybe they won't make the mistake and they win. Or you might just be suprised yourself. If you are scout and a writer, I think your problem is you look at the world with bias eyes. Unless Hillsboro stops playing so many people 2 ways, it is going to be hard to win a state title. They have great talent, but playing so many plays,it hurts them in the 4th qtr. I respect Hillsboro.

Sorry that you are so biased, but on this end of the state Maryville and Dobyns-Bennett are the class. I'd love to see a state play-off for freshman teams so the speculation would come to an end, but these two programs can play with any freshman team in the nation. Well, I am from Maryville and there's not a snowflakes chance in heck that you're a college scout or a writer for the Tennessean (well then again I guess that could explain some of that lousy paper's bias). Season is not over with yet. you may have crushed the other little metro freshman teams, but the one team you need to fear is the Antioch freshman. Hillsboro won because they beat themselves. Three INT's, two fumbles, and the list goes on. City championship, let's see who gets the last laugh. Ha, Ha, Ha.

When the current seniors were 9th graders, MBA beat them 34-6. Hillsboro scored on the last play of the game on MBA's 3rd team. MBA could've put any score they wanted to on the scoreboard that day.

No they did not, they lost to MBA who had without a doubt the best freshman team ever. They went undefeated and did not win by less than 30 pts. They beat Hillsboro 34-6, even when they had "the fridge"

What will the Metro Freshman playoffs look like on Thursday. I know Hillsboro and Antioch have made it in one division, what are the teams from the other.

I believe Columbia, Tullahoma, Shelbyville has a very good group of freshmen to go along with average or better sophmore classes. Region 5-4A has a good group of sophmores and freshmen and will ve very competitive over the next few years. I heard that the Burros had a very good sophmore qb. I heard he has good size and throws an accurate pass. Good luck to the Burros in the playoffs.
