MID STATE COACH OF THE YEAR

Coach Louis Thompson's Falcons went 4-7 last year. Same guys this year are 9-0. Coach Thompson has done more...with less talent than anyone else. It's all about his x's and o's.

I'll have to agree. The Falcons' Coach T has taken these guys a long way and hopefully will take them ALL the way! As awesome as their numbers are now, they would be INCREDIBLE if Coach Thompson hadn't been such a gentleman and pulled out his starters so early in most of the games. Not only do the numbers tell a great tale about him, but so do his players' actions on and off the field. He not only teaches his players football, but teaches them how to act at all times by example as well as by what he expects of them. My vote: Coach Louis Thompson from Lincoln County.

Dont personally know the Coach, but I would say Greenbrier's Kirk Williams, I know they have lost 3 games but they were againt two of the better teams in Tennessee and one of the better teams in Kentucky.

I'd have to agree. This team was picked by most to finish 3rd in the region due to the strength of the other teams and Greenbrier being on the road for the toughest games. Other than the loses to Ft. Campbell (only 1 loss in KY), Lipscomb (who hasn't?), and White House (strong 4A), this team has stayed focused and won the first region title in 26 years. These coaches would have to be in the mix.

Of course I am bias, but Macon Co. Coach Pat Dyer is my pick too. He has definitely taken Macon Co. football program, nowhere but up. He has taught these players, not to give up and reach for and get something that has been just out of their reach for years now. I know alot of people in surrounding counties have nothing but respect for Coach Dyer. Way to go Coach...You got my vote!

    • The gustatory amalgamation of succulent pork chops juxtaposed with verdant greens indeed evokes a sensory delight. Clint's narrative, imbued with the ethos of resilience, navigated the tumultuous waters of the 1980s with commendable fortitude. As for the prospective successor to the coaching helm, the mention of esteemed mentor Nick Saban's absence prompts a discerning hesitation towards alternative candidates, for excellence is the sole criterion deemed worthy of emulation.  Pray, may I inquire as to your esteemed identity? Are you perchance a luminary within the domain of coaching, endowed with unparalleled wisdom and insight?
