my prediction is that this game comes down to one big play either way. Either a long pass td or a long run td that is a complete aberration of the rest of the stats...(as in, that one play represents about 50% of the total yards for the winning team)...who makes it?

Fisher to Santi: 65 yard td....

final score, MBA 13, BA 10

You may be right about the big play scenario, but it could come on special teams. Watch for MBA on Kickoff returns and BA on punt returns.

I believe this has a chance to be an incredible game. Both teams are very even and determined. If the BA defense doesn't give up the big play, BA wins. If BA turns the ball over ( like they're plenty capable of doing ) then MBA wins. It's as simple as that. Also, I wouldn't discount the fervor that this BA team has to win the championship. They've been there 4 years in a row. They seem pretty hungry to me. I say BA wins 24 to 21.

i feel almost positive that catholic will not win the state on saturday mainly because of Karl. He will make all the difference in the world and catholic has yet to see him this year. I think bga will win in a close one. I think MBA will win because they are very bitter and will be out to kill brentwood academy.

    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
    • Gunner Warren was the second starter, freshman. SP #1 arm impressed me last night.
