not taking anything away from fulton , they were obviously the best team in an extremely weak classification. i seen the macon county game and the covington game, how do teams that lame make it that far. anderson county was better than both of those teams. i think that east tennessee is the only part of the state that knows how to play the sport. If i was an athletic director in any other part of this state, i would try to hire a coach from east tennessee. covington and macon was flat out LAME. ;)

it is gonna be hard to recruit against a state champ, but i will still get it done ;)

Congratulations to Fulton, yall rolled on over Covington just like i thought you would. Covington should have never been in the championship game against yall. Covington caught Greenbrier on a night when not everything worked out for them. If Greenbrier would have played there best game and Covington would have played there best game, Greenbrier would have won. Covington came out and played there best game against Greenbrier and turned around the next week and played like they had all year and got stomped, so congrats to Fulton.

JanePaul,

In the future you are ONLY allowed to refer to Fulton as the "Fulton Falcons 2003 Football Class 3A State Champions."

Here's the official tally for State Championships:

Fulton 1 (3 appearances)

Central 0...zip, nada (1 appearance)

Oh, almost forgot...how do you like your crow; fried, baked or stewed? I have a batch amost ready for you, just need to add a little more of your favorite seasoning; "Egg on your Face." And for desert, I have for you a large slice of Humble Pie!!! Enjoy, Loser!!!

    • I would have to think that the firing of the 2 teachers is just the beginning of future moves.  If not, it is woefully short.  If the AC school board thinks that the damage is just limited to Clinton, they are sadly mistaken.  Any outsider would view the whole school system as suspect, and rightly so.
    • Yeah. AC brass walked in to the building at Clinton and suggested that the principal start changing grades.  Honesty, the notion that anybody at AC was involved is just idiocy.  The ones who are hurt most are the kids who weren't involved in the cheating, but still are being penalized by college admission decisions and scholarship consideration simply because they went to a school that was involved in such a scandal.
    • I heard it was ugly.  Coach Harig and the Redskins demolished what is left of the Dragon Wagon.  At this point, it is not certain that Clinton will even be able to field a football team for 2024.  No way the coach keeps his job, transfers gone, nothing left.  Back to the stone ages for the Dragoons.
    • Not even close, changing over 1000 grades?  Head coach changing grades to keep players on the field?  Not the same.  They will give Lieutenant Flip Flops the "Opportunity to resign"  right after graduation if not before.     Negative, the juvenile court judge blew the whistle.  Clinton admin, teachers and coaches started this fire.  Been going on for 4 years now according to Jones, one of the teachers that was fired.  This is truly pathetic.   The Dragon Wagon is #### up in the ditch down on highway 61 down there near The Spur.  Reap what you sew.
    • What ever happened to the #93 rb that came in and did well last year when yalls RBs we’re going down?
