FRA job candidates

While I think that Coach Tucker is a great coach, I also think that even if he were to take the head position they would still need another coach, as the staff seems relatively small in numbers anyway. Plus, I think a new coach will just give the program a shot in the arm and be able to get it going.

Who is Coach Smith that has children at FRA?

Just to let you know Jack Pittman did apply for the job. Don't know whether or not they will consider him but I think his qualifications and expertise are just as good if not better than anyone elses. I think he could be successful at a program like FRA.

He has had fantastic defenses at both Ryan and BA. Seems like he is due for a head coaching job

As far as I know, FRA teachers/faculty do get tuition breaks for their kids. And Fadepattern, I hope you are refering to FRA's football program alone, and not the entire athletic program b/c it already is one of the top programs in Nashville, as well as the entire state. Just count the number of state championships the school has won since 1997.

just wondering if metro coaches would get the same response from a private school that smith seems to get in metro. Word has it that "several" metro coaches have expressed interest (both current head coaches and assisstants). Just speculating but the job is a certain metro coaches if he wants it. Does a teaching certificate mean anything at a private school?

Thanks! I need to e-mail Pitt, been a while since I've talked to him. He's been wanting a head job for a while. Maybe this will be the time. I hope so!

    • Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.
    • Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.
    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
    • They do have good community support for sure and did when I coached under Z for 4 years. (I was on that staff that turned them around a little from winning 1 game a year to actually being competitive).  Great Kids and Great Community over there.  They have done some good things with the facilities from when i coached too.
    • I personally will not mind that one bit.  It seems like a really strange fit to me from the git go.
