Don't get too excited, Marshall couldn't defend a good middle school girls team much less Giles.

Giles County has a good team, we all know that. Marshall County is trying to build a strong basketball program, we know that. There is no need to talk about MC not being able to defend a middle school girls team. It was a childish remark and was uncalled for. Just because a team is having a bad season doesn't mean that they don't work hard and won't improve. Give Marshall County time, they have a great coach that I will work wonders with their program.

Great coach? Yet to be seen. He's had two years to put his program in. It's not like he has terrible athletes. We all know they are not as talented as they were 2 or 3 years ago, but are they as bad as their record shows?

The remark was just an expression... but I have seen Marshall and they really have no clue about Defense. When they get better I will give them credit, but until then 6th grade girls would light them up.

If the coach is doing such a bad job there, why don't they get rid of him? I don't know that much about MC, but I have heard wonderful things about him. He may not be getting the job done, but he does come highly recommended. I wish their program the best of luck and if Coach Q is doing such a bad job, then maybe they will correct the problem and improve their program! The games I have watched then play a few times this year and I feel that they would shut down a 6th grade team, however I did feel that they could be playing better than they were. Hopefully they will find the problem and fix it!

What team --The problem I see is that there are too many I's on this team just like last year. When they start playing as a TEAM that will be the first step towards winning, but until then what you see is what you get!!!!

 

 

Coach Quall's is a good coach and will do good in time. Last year he inherited a team that had not had ANY off season workouts and did what he could in the time he was given. All programs go thru a growing period and that is where Marshall county is at this time.

Coach Qualls has an extensive basketball background. I know he will turn the program around. I had the chance to watch the team play over the summer, and they lacked alot of talent. The dismissal of Alred really hurt the program, but really shows the coaches integrity. Give him a couple of more yrs, because there is no way the can compete with a team like Giles.
