I don't believe in superstitions.........they are BAD LUCK!

Habits? I got a few. For home games, I go to the Favorite Market and get two bags of peppermints and 2 jumbo packs of Extra spearmint gum for the girls. For me, I get a copy of the DNJ, a bag of Reese's "Bites" and a Diet Dew.

I fill out the line-up card with the same pen, and keep the pitching chart with the another pen.

Habits- thats a good name for it.

Dont step on the line coming on or off the field.

I try not to wear my jersey right before the game (bus ride)

Making sure that the bats arent crossed in the dugout.

Having a hamburger with pickles, onions, jalpenos and mustard after every game.

6 gatorades a game.

Same sunglasses.

Using the same bat until I hit a slump, then change it.

As the great Bambino said, I have only one superstition -- I make sure I touch all the bases when I hit a home run.

I don't believe in superstitions but I do have habits I can't seem not to do. I always have to stop by work and see a friend of mine before I head to the game or on my way to catch the bus. I always get a medium pepsi from work and a hug from my friend along with a good luck. One day I wasn't going to stop by there because I was running late but I felt so weird and uncomfortable I had to stop by anyways. Another thing I like before a game is a good luck kiss from my four year old brother. He doesn't do it every game but a lot of them. I feel a lot better when I do though. Being a pitcher I have to warm up my pitches in a specific order everytime I warm up. Pitchers have their habits that may look weird but actually help them. I know I have been given some weird looks while doing my warming up ritual. Any other pitchers do something to turn heads and have people question?

    • Looks like South Pittsburg added some more talent!
    • So much talk about an investigation about student record manipulation and then everything has went silent. Has anyone heard how the investigation is going?
    • Basically what you're saying is schools can basically bully students around and get away with it because they are protected. I agree to a certain extent but when schools decisions to keep knuckleheads on staff starts costing kids careers and a college education there is a problem. Our school system last week had a teacher supposedly push a kid and the parents went to the law and the teacher is suspended. So I wouldn't say that they can just do what they want without liability. This case don't pass the smell test because the coach had already been fired before and she got fired after a year on the job. Sounds like the student was right in this case on the outside looking in because the coach gets fired after one year. How many coaches get fired after one year?? Not many.
    • Problem with DB football goes beyond coaching. Like Waco said. Thr band is the main focus of their community and school. They have the resources to be a championship level team. Guarantee Ballard or Witten could have them nationally relevant at some point but everyone down to peewee would have to buy in and at DB we all know that would never happen.
    • I know the RB from OR he’s fast and has good hands. Is good on special teams also. Didn’t want to play defense over to the Ridge.
