sportnut
Lots of different style hitters out there... where do they train?
spirit01
Most of the best hitters in Tennessee train @ Club K out of Nashville. The instructors are incredible and the training is intense but well worth it! If you would like more info about Club K visit their website @ www.clubk.com

bigchief
If you want INDIVIDUAL attention on hitting then call Jimmy Waggoner. If the "cattle call" type of attention is what you are looking for then Club K is fine. Sorry folks, if I am paying the money that lessons cost, I don't want my daughter "sharing time" with SEVERAL others. Either pay more instructors to work or take less students. I have watched both Wags and Club K at work for at least the last 7-8 years. Yes, it is harder to get in with Wags, but the individual attention is worth it. Plus he went to kindergarten with me and Shane Buchanan (the coach at Dickson Co.)
goosevol
I think places like Club K and the Diamond Softball Academy are really making the girls game better. If a person has the talent and are willing to work, they should find a place that will make them better.
Willy41360
The Diamond Softball Academy in Rockwood is well known for their turnout of great pitchers, but I think they have a great hitting instructional program as well. (Helped my daughter to be one of the best hitters around and still improving.) You will get the individual attention any athlete needs and I haven't seen anyone any better at bringing out the best in a student as Darrell can. Decently priced and year around facilities. http://diamondsoftballacademy.com
gre8t2003
Club K has become "big business/cash cow".
stickup
Ditto BigChief... Jimmy Waggoner is the best out there!
GCityVol
How do I get in touch with Jimmy Waggoner and where does he live or give instructions at?
BuzzBuzz15
I know that Farragut's Lindsey Samarin, Bearden's Alicia Borris, and Sweetwater's Virginia Houston all train with Harry Backhurst at The Yard in Knoxville. He's an excellent instructor and is an assistant coach at Webb. All these girls are power hitters.
DUCKHUNT
Too many people in a class at Club K, that's my honest opinion. And that goes for hitting and pitching. You simply cannot keep your eye on what 5 or 6 kids are doing at one time. Club K sells dreams more than they do lessons.
