liondef4
O yea, by the way, hurt is one of the fastest forwards that I have played against. He is a very well balanced forward and they have a good offensive attack. Martin is without a doubt one of the best teams I have seen thus far. liondef4
West Tennessee teams obviously. You haven't seen any teams form west tennessee play probably so you can't say that martin is not a good team. I'm gonna laugh when you play one of these teams you think your team can handle easily and get beat!

Martin may be a good team but it would take a lot of luck for them to be able to beat one of those teams.

playoff4
Columbia Academy beat Giles County tonight by the final tally, 3-1. It was a very clean and very quick game. CA took the lead with about 20 minutes left to play in the first half. After the teams broke for half-time, Giles County came out on fire. Scoring a quick goal was Evan Baddour and then in hands-down the best flurry of saves of the year, the CA goalie stopped a laser direct kick from the right side (went down low to stop it), then gave up a rebound and immediately got up to dive and tip a hard shot from the right side. That play right there summed up the night. Giles County didn't have many shots at all. CA snuck in another goal which went thru the keepers legs right before the final whistle. The more disciplined team won tonight, but who knows what would have happened if not for the freakishly good saves from the CA keeper? CA leaves GCHS scratching their heads in defeat for the second straight year. any hints as to what they did or what they're running? anything you guys saw that was out of the ordinary, or something teams need to watch out for? wneely
Looks like they played with a stacked left side (midfield and forwards). They did not attack our right side very much at all. They must have had the worst game they played all year, because their offense was not all that impressive. Defense was somewhat physical. #6 would drop a shoulder or a hip into the striker's side forcing him to fight for the ball, something our forwards are not good at. Anyway, with a little luck this team can be beaten. We hung with them for 65 minutes about. They were just too well coached, too much in shape, and too disciplined. Bald one
Easy fella's, Let's not be dissin anyones teams. each region has their best team. We'll see how they stack up soon enough. (by the way, I'm partial to middle Tn teams...especially Franklin!) However, being in West Tn and having played them twice and overcoming some hard feelings on the front end, I'd like to see Martin do well. They are a great group of fellows with a lot of talent and a head coach who has a lot of class. I have to say the high point of this season has been getting to know these soccer players better (even if they did stomp us twice!).
