I am not on here to talk trash, when i played i always said do your talking on the field. I am from LA and i do think they have one of the best teams they have had in a while. They just played 2 5a teams and beat them badly. Yeah we went to the upperman bowl last year and didn't make it into the playoffs, but we were just as good as the rest of the teams from our region, we just lost some close games. I guess u could say we did choke, but we were young. These boys that are coming out this year have all played a few years and the dumb mistakes they made last year wont happen. So before all of us get on here and get all worked up over some words somebody from these other teams say, we'll see what happens in about a month. I am anxious to watch some of these games because they are going to be good. I am pulling for La and I think they will do it this year, but we will just have to see.

I live there muffin, but I work in Lebanon. Well, it's a Mt. Juliet address.   I've been in Portland for nearly 20 years. I'm region 4-3A thru and thru! Born in Trousdale Co., raised and graduated in Smith Co., and now live up here on the ridge in northern Sumner Co. Why do you ask?

In looking at 4-3A I can see livingston has a good shot at being a great team, they will be returning many of the players from last years team and they had the best non play-off team around. Portland will have to go to livingston this year and like you said they have out played them the last 2 years.

I wouldn't say we were outplayed at all, but I promised last year not to say any more about our game with LA. That's all in the past. True, we do have to travel to LA. We also have to travel to SC, TC, and MC! It's going to be tough for the Panthers to win the region title back from Macon Co., but we are going to better then we were last year. It's going to be an exciting year for region 4-3A!

I'm a Panther all the way. I think we are a better team this year and Macon lost several key players so I don't see them in the hunt this year but LA, SC, TC and the Panthers will be there and what a season it will be. :o

    • Never in my life have I seen a team in a scrimmage against their own defense look so lost and confused. The defense didn’t look much better, the coaching staff can’t keep their anger together, not only with the players but also with their other coaches. I feel awful for those players. None of them look like they wanted or should’ve been out there, but for the grown men on the sidelines acting like fools, it's just embarrassing to the Farragut name and reputation. I now see why they chose not to live stream this on their YouTube channel.
    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
