Siegel High opened last year and took half of Oakland's students..... Its gotten pretty crazy since then..... Murfreesboro has spilt its two biggest rivalries... Siegel vs. Oakland which is insane.... and then Blackman vs. Riverdale both hate each other with a passion

If you want a rivalry with pure hatred, then McMinn County vs McMinn Central should be up on the top of the list.

I've got to add my input on this... 3 of my favorite rivalries, all rather local to me, and only two have even been mentioned!

 

Lincoln Co/Riverdale

Tullahoma/Coffee Co.

Moore Co./Huntland - How could this be left out! Not just because it's my school's rivalry. To me it's one of my personal favorites.

I'd say Cannon Co. and DeKalb Co. Anybody from either one knows what I'm talking about. I don't really know how long it's been going on, but some more-recent events in the past 3 or 4 years have made it even bigger. But that was mainly in the basketball area. With football though, this Homecoming should be interesting at CC too, because we play DC.

Beethoven, I lived in Carthage for about a year during the construction of the defunct Hartsville Nuclear Plant.  You're exactly right.  PLUS, another HUGE rivalry is the Smith Co/Trousdale game.

Nashville Christian vs. Davidson Academy is a big rivalry. These 2 teams always bring it down to one big play. it will be wierd when DA goes to 2A and doesn't play NCS anymore.
