Rockwood and Harriman have and old rivalry. That will go on for many more years.

Harriman vs. Rockwood has the longest consecutive running rivalry at 83 or 84 straight years. Rivalries like that, Maryville/Alcoa and Lenoir City/Loudon are hard to top. As for pure hatred I think the LC/Loudon may be the best.

Manchester Central (now Coffee County Central) versus Tullahoma

 

Going on since 1924. No school from Mufreesboro, Knoxville, Memphis, Nashville, or Chattanooga could touch the history of this one.

If you want a rivalry with pure hatred, then McMinn County vs McMinn Central should be up on the top of the list.

Smith Co. and Trousdale Co.....there have been so many fights and stuff betweens these 2. always a tough game.

My uncle said when he played football back in the 80's for harriman they played the game at Rockwood and as they were leaving they were on the bus and the coach told them to put there helmets on because the Rockwood players were throwing bricks through the windows... that sounds like pure hatred to me it might have been back in 80's but Rockwood is still not very fond of harriman

I would say Cleveland vs Rhea County this riviarly is the biggest and most physical

games in East Tenn

 

Like last year both teams got in a big brawl at the end of the game do to some cleveland players running their mouths too much after the game and a horrible call by the official to say no TD for Tim Cooper. Both school are on probation right now but they get off on the same day together and play each other the same day in football

It has to be Tullahoma and Coffee County.

 

People in Tullahoma hate people that go to Coffee County.

Same way around.

 

The Coffee Pot has been going back and forth between the schools since 1924 I do believe.

 

 

And in a close second. Tullahoma and Franklin County.
