hmm...seems like everyone is talkin about West's runnin backs..what about Heritages? they have the same runnin game as last year.Which, i thought was pretty good..With an edtion of Jamey Davis and Jeff Teefteller?..You have Power with Pillow, Speed with Seany, Power and Speed with Gregory..Also, The QB..Might as well just be another runnin back..But also can throw.

Welp, Heritage was beat by West tonight..27-20..West was leading whenever the rain delay game 10-0..Heritage came back out and scored twice in about..3 minutes..14-13 Heritage at the half..West comes out and scores..and never looked back..Turnovers killed heritage..And Hootie, #5, and #8 will not go down on the first hit for some reason....it was..amazing.

West looked pretty good tonight, and Heritage wasn't shabby either. I caught the 2nd-4th quarters, and was impressed with both teams' ability to overcome Week Zero jitters and play an exciting game, albeit an offensive shootout there for awhile.

 

I too was particularly impressed with the balance and heroics of #s 34, 5, and 8. It'll be interesting to see how they progress, especially against defenses with greater speed and strength.

 

Heritage will be pretty good this year. They have some big boys in the trenches, and the QB (#5) is a fine runner and field leader. If the Mountaineers can resolve issues with the kicking and passing games, they'll develop into a good squad. My best wishes to them this season.

The Woodshed is the small wooden building on the left just as you come through the ticket gate. It sells t-shirts, hats, etc. We've had the Woodshed for many years and it is a tradition. The marketing department at HHS makes t-shirts some years with logos about the Woodshed.

Congrats to HHS on a good first game, even with the loss. I love you boys and I will miss you this year. I am spending a lot of time at Maryville College, Richie, Big Tharp and Seth are there sweating it out at football camp. Come up some Sat and watch the Fighting Scotts!

Even though Heritage lost the game I must send Congratulations to the team and to Coach Rewis for getting the program on track. West is a good team with some talented players and will be a tough opponent in their region. Good luck to Heritage.

Hey did West QB get hurt last night? If so, what happen to him. I think I saw him today in a cast on his left arm. I'm not sure if that was him but it look just like him. Someone please help me out
