Dodrill22
what is everybody's opinion on the best place kicker. field position is very important. not many people have heard of siegel sophomore tyler tipton, but he kicked three balls into the endzone, one touchback, and the touchback came after a five yard penalty, making him move back kicking the ball five yards farther than usual! he will deffinetely help siegel out. FBGIRL
John Price, Sr. CPA has had at least 4 kickoff's in the endzone for touchbacks, one nearly thru the goal posts and one 38 yd FG. barely missed on a 48 yd fg.
ERA
I believe Emily Shelton will give a run at extra point percentage. She's the little sister of John Luke, Zach and Joe Shelton that have kicked for Coffee County. Emily, in her first year, broke her brothers records with SEVEN extra points in one game. I guess this proves girls are more efficient than most at this part of the game. They don't try to kill it. They just focus and execute. Of course, her brothers were also playing during the game and not just coming off the sidelines to kick. But still, you got to give kudos for Emily to do such a great job. Congratulations EMILY SHELTON!
faninthestand
David Campbell - Franklin High As a Junior last year - 48 of 68 into the end zone for TB using only a 3 step drop. At the National Kicking Service camp in Atlanta this summer, they changed his drop to a 9 step drop and he is carrying on this year with deep balls and 4+ hang time. (also, won the FG competiton at the NKS Camp with a 65 yarder)

82cat
Michael Hinson - Smyrna Punter avg over 48 per punt Kicker 2 fgs last week over 40 95% kick offs in the end zone perfect on extra points (one bad snap that was never placed down to kick)
ds4
i know soddy daisy isnt really middle tennessee but Nic Coulter is the shizz. in practice he kicked a freakin 60 yarder. NFL record is 63. He is 95% accurate from 50 and under. He was the leading scorer in the redbank game with a 47 yard touchdown reception. and kicked all the field goals. He is the next great NFL kicker. Edited August 30, 2004 by ds4

rkwd2
Well Rockwood isn't exactly Middle Tennessee. But we have a foreign exchange student from Brazil who has been kiking a futbol for a long time. In his first game he kicked off mostly as we already had a pk. but id guess he could probably be hitting some long fgs this year.

bhsOL
Michael Hinson has never kicked a 60 yard FG in practice, it was 58 yards, lol. He puts just about every kickoff out of the endzone and against La Vergne he put one through the uprights. FHSrebel27, When has Franklin not had a good kicker? Colby Smith was darn good in 2001, and in 2002 yalls punter kicked the ball a mile high and far.

BTW, Defatta was the punter in '02, just a sophomore.
