Who is the best junior running back in tennessee? 2 words for ya...DEWAYNE CALDWELL from Ooltewah. The guy has explosive speed to take it to the house. He has somewhat trouble in breaking tackles. If he works on his upperbody he will be unstoppable in his Senior season. The 5'8 190 lbs. running back from Ooltewah is the next Gerald Riggs!

FRANKLIN CO. BRAYLON LESLIE HAD 174 yards in his first game on 13 carries, and 181 in his 2nd game on 18 carries. He is 5' 10" 190lbs and one of the strongest on the team. Last week he had the most yards in a game that week in the state .

i agree that gaston miller without a doubt.. he has speed and power.. i havent seen many others so hes the best ive seen and probably one of the best in the whole state

It has to be Bobby Council of Pearl-Cohn, he was a 1400 yard back as a sophmore, who else has done that.

O come on thats an easy question! Without a doubt, its DEWAYNE CALDWELL of Ooltewah High. You can talk about how a RB ran 1200 yds or more in a season all you want,but this guy has almost half of that in 2 games! In the season opener against Red Bank, Caldwell ran for 200 yds.Then the first half was over. At the end of the night he ran for 295 yds on 31 carrys with 3 TDs. He averaged 9.4 yds a carry. Last week against East Ridge, he ran for 230+ yds and only scored once. His footing was a factor. Im anxious to see what he has against McMinn Co., Soddy,and Oak Ridge.Watch Out for Caldwell and the Ooltewah Owls!
