it was a hard fought game by both teams..... BUT i smelled some home cookin during the game...... the zebras were ABSOLUTLEY HORRIBLE!!!! but i must admit.... we should have given them the chance to ruin it for us

As someone in the media said after the game, "That was one of the most over officiated game I have EVER seen in all of my years covering games." Penalties were SD 7 for 68 and Ooltewah 11 for 88, with at least 3 penalties declined.

Real quick in response to joeboxxer...how in the world can you say home cooking? IF anything, the refs calls played out in Soddy's favor! They spotted the ball terribly! That was asafety in the second half...refs were BAD, but did not win or lose for either team! I'll post more and my thoughts on the game in a few!

ok...... on the blocked field goal for a "touchdown"........ two guys were down when they had the ball but the refs didnt call it(saying one guy had the ball andwas down then fumbled and so on)

Well hoe come you didn't block McDade in the first place? He jumped over the entire line untouched....the refs didn't lay down and let him come right through did they?

 

How bout the safety in the second half??? OR should I say the "should have been" safety??

i have a qeustion.... is it a penalty when someone uses to snapper to get to the ball(ooltewah was hitting the sanpper when you arent supposed to) and if you dont believe me check the film

all i have to say about this game is one word WOW... possibly the best high school game i have ever seen oh my gosh... and guys please dont try and say the refs screwed u cause that is crap they were bad for both sides!!! ITS GREAT TO BE AN OOLTEWAH OWL!!! hope we play them again!!

i will go and say that ooltewah played hard and they got a good win... but round two of the playoffs we will meet again(or sometime in the playoffs) and everyone knows its hard to beat a team twice in the same year

Cool it with the sour grapes joeboxer. Soddy played a good game. They gave Ooltewah everything they wanted an then some. Don't come on here an cry about the refs. They did make some bad call BOTH ways. Heck we had more penalties than you guys. Perfect example the side judge called Touchdown when your back crossed the 5 yard line two plays before the blocked field goal. By the way no Soddy player was down on the blocked field goal Ward fumbled it and then it was batted around a little bit before Lansden took it to the house.

 

Congrats too Soddy for playing big in a big game. Don't lose focus go beat those two Knoxville teams, Let's finish one and two in this Region.

Haha.. Dude wasn't down on the blocked field goal! And you can't blame the game on refs. They had bad calls against both teams... I enjoyed Weathers going crazy on their sideline though when they called late hit... Haha he wouldn't shut up for 15 minutes! Good luck to Soddy for the rest year. I hope u guys beat Farragut and Oak Ridge.
