You may be right...but I really don't think it would be close.  Cookeville has a chance to play with the rest of the teams...but not Riverdale.

riverdale would beat cookeville easy, didnt the cavs lose to leabnon and i think riverdale beat the blue devils like 42-0? or am i wrong? id say riverdale 48 cavs 0. cavs struggled with sparta and warren who just happens to be on a 40 game losing streak, granted it was in a down pour but still struggled none the less. the score on the sparta vs cookeville game wasnt telling, sparta was in the game untill the 4th quarter. ive seen riverdale play and cookeville play and riverdales 2nd string could beat cookeville 35-0 or better.

I can certainly guarantee everybody out there in cyber land one thing: Neither coaching staff (Cookeville or Riverdale) is looking past week 9, much less to the many possibilities of the ever changing and cloudy play-off picture.

That is a broad prediction vols#1. Riverdale is a good team, but I'm pretty sure they can be beaten. On any friday night any given team can win even against the best. And remember the best team doesnt always win.

Well Vols you must not have watched the cavs very closely because if you were at the Sparta or Warren Co. games then you saw Cookevilles defense manhandle both of them allowing Warren like 30 or so yards and 2 first downs and Sparta was the first game of the year where things are always sloppy and the game was never in Spartas grasp the whole time. And if you didnt see fridays score or stats of the Cumberland Co. game the Cavs held an offense averaging like 35 points the last 4 games to 0 points, 40 some yards and 4 first downs and didnt pass the opposing 40. So to contradict you the Cavs could most definately hang with Riverdale as long as they have Coach Joslin on the sidelines, John Ledford at QB, Gus Paxton at RB, and Russel Tribble at MLB!

If Riverdale can be beaten in this years state championship chase it will come this weekend against the Cavs. I am very glad to see a team like Cookeville get this far. Good Luck Cavs.
