The future of Region 8 competed yesterday at Houston. 130 middle school and 35 elementary school wrestlers battled all day long. It was a fun event for all and some quality competition for those little guys.

And from what I saw yesterday region 8 has a very bright future. Thanks for putting on a great tournament and giving our kids a great chance to compete Coach Delgado. And when you say all day long you mean it . Can't wait until Thursday when we get to start doing it all again!

Good point but you have to remember that those three days now also include a middle school division so that will be some time where the HS is not competing.

Coach Bray makes a good point. If Arjay goes 171, Borneman must be going 135. I think Borneman will make 171, then they have Arjay, Russell, and Raj for 189 and 215.

Does Borneman really want to go against Knox from Farragut. If he thought Turner was tuff at State last year, wait untill he runs into Knox. He's a Bull!

I don't know that he necessarily wants too, but I doubt he's worried about it. Besides, the difference between 60 and 71 is more that you can cut with pure will power. I don't know what Borneman weighs, but I would guess that he was over 180 in the off season, which would be quite a bit of weight to drop. Anyway, hopefully I'll get to see him this weekend at Germantown. I'll have more information then.

So who will be coming out of that area at 152?

I saw Lucas this weekend at Houston and all I am going to say is that he looked a lot bigger than I am used to him looking. I talked to him and he wasn't totally set on a weight other than it being higher than 152. Hoever, I would agree with BotW that I doubt he is particularly worried about seeing anyone. Lucas seems pretty focused right now and I think he will be where he wants to be come February. And yeah I would think over 180 during the off-season for Lucas was definitely the case. We will definitely know more after we see him wrestle at the pre-season this weekend.
