Don't forget Brandon Shane from Greenfield.. Back for his Senior season after a Mr.Basketball Finalist last year as he led the Yellowjackets to their second consecutive state tournament appearance  Could see the Jackets back and be on the look out for an up and coming team in Lake County who last made a state tourney showing in 2000 and have veteran skipper Jim Whitby who led ole Obion Central to a state championship back in the 80's and a couple of state tourney appearances in the 90's!! Their dancin' in the streets at Tiptonville

I agree on Bailey... There is not a better Class A player outside of West Tn than Joseph Bailey... The kid can absolutely shoot the lights out, has great quickness, can run the point or "2", and possesses an outstanding pull up jumper, unrivaled in Class A this year...

Xavier Webb, a 6'9 Ole Miss-signee, will be another Mr. Basketball finalist. The kid averaged 22ppg and 10 rpg last season, and has only gotten better...

Niccheas Doaks of Trenton Peabody, a 6'7/6'8 manchild down low, will be the third Mr. Basketball finalist. Doaks also possesses a nice outside game, and was a standout at the Adidas Superstar Camp, ranked among the Top 10 Forwards in attendance (of around 300 players)...

Sikes, Skogen, and Brandon Shane will also be in the Mix, but the 3 best Class A players in the State are Bailey, Webb, and Doaks...

I agree that Eldridge will be a player to watch. He's a good shooter, if you're a smaller guard defending him you need to deny him the ball because if he gets the jump shot over you, it's almost always $.

I was going to say that Hawkins would be a player to watch, then I remember he has a shooting % of about 20 so I guess all you'll see from him is a ton of bricks.

    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
