Sequatchie County and Hixson will both be 6-4 or 5-5, I believe. Temple should be over .500 but someone on another thread said they're not bowl eligble since they didn't play a region schedule this year (they will next year). Notre Dame is 6-3, I think I heard on the news the other night if they don't win this Friday they won't make the Division II playoffs. They're strong, wins over good teams in Polk, Meigs and 4A East Ridge.

* indicates those who must win to reach bowl eligibility.

In 1A:

One of Coalfield or Oneida, unless both win

Nashville Christian*

Moore County

Columbia Academy*

Trinity Christian*

Greenfield* (also needs a Gleason win, or they make the playoffs)

In 2A:

Wartburg Central* (but makes playoffs if Harriman loses)

Sequatchie County

Westmoreland (makes playoffs with win or Houston County win)

Station Camp* (but makes playoffs if Westmoreland wins)

Loretto*

Adamsville (in playoffs with win)

Chester County* (in playoffs if also Riverside wins)

Booker T. Washington*

In 3A:

Lenoir City (makes playoffs with a win, or Anderson County and Fulton wins)

Anderson County*

Gibbs* (makes playoffs if Loudon and Anderson County also win)

York Institute

Macon County*

Creek Wood

Sycamore*

McNairy Central (in playoffs with W)

Memphis Northside (in playoffs with W or a Hillcrest win)

In 4A:

Johnson County

Daniel Boone*

Knoxville West (makes playoffs if Carter wins)

Hixson*

Lawrence County

Tullahoma*

Maplewood* (in playoffs if Springfield also wins)

Whichever of East, Craigmont, or Wooddale misses in Region 8

In 5A:

Sevier County (if not in playoffs--scenarios are crazy in that region)

Jefferson County (ditto)

Science Hill*

Cumberland County*

Wilson Central (in playoffs with W)

Antioch-Hunters Lane loser (if Hendersonville wins), or Hendersonville (if they lose)

Centennial (if eliminated by a loss plus Franklin and Ravenwood wins)

Ravenwood (unless in playoffs by win or Centennial win, plus Franklin win)

Clarksville* (if eliminated by Ravenwood and Dickson County wins)

Dickson County* (if eliminated by Clarksville and Kenwood wins)

Whitehaven (in playoffs with W)

White Station (if eliminated by loss plus Whitehaven and Houston wins)

The only potential Division II bowl team is Notre Dame, who have their wins but are eliminated if they lose to Battle Ground.

Hey silverpie, thanks for that list. I wanted to tell you that in 2A if Loretto wins this week, then they are playoff bound. Can two teams from the same region play one another in a bowl game? I would love to see a Sycamore-CreekWood rematch.

I've got a possible match-up made in heaven:

If Campbell Co losses and misses out on the play-offs at 6-4 and Anderson Co wins to finish 5-5, they should hook up and play anywhere--field, parking lot, I-75, or anywhere in between--LOL!!  :D

that would make for a terrific night at teh gate...if CC loses is this really a possibilty...just what bowl games are actually out there???

I think a field would be more appropriate...anywhere but I-75...LOL...

i believe that game would be an awesome game. however, what field would it take place on. i don't think ac would want to play at ccchs and vice versa and there are no fields inbetween.

    • You didn't spell Greeneville and Elizabethton correctly in your sentence.  4A has the best teams in Upper East TN.  Carter County All-Stars and Greene County All-Stars is the Superbowl now.
    • Yeah, but if he goes to Science Hill they are guaranteed at least a win over Kingsport and that's basically the NET Superbowl
    • I expect Sevier County might be pretty good, perhaps Mo West as well.     But I don't see either of them getting out of round 2.          The rest of the region gets smoked in round 1.            Except for those once-in-a-blue-moon anomaly years the NET big schools are pretty much the same every season.
    • Wanted to see if all of you would lift up Kyle James family in prayer. Kyle was one of the best wrestlers to ever come out of Soddy Daisy and as some of you know he lost his house a few weeks ago and now his family and friends mourns his passing. Not sure if any of you were around in early 2000’s when Kyle was wrestling at Soddy, but he was a 3 time state champ and a Fargo AA along with going to Colorado to train to make the Olympic team. That goal was never reached due to medical issues, but he was an amazing wrestler and his family is as good as gold. If you were around at that time and have any pictures of Kyle, please go onto Alexy Winesburgh FB page and post. Thanks, Doug Benton
    • My opinion the 8 teams will be-  Greenback, Wartburg, Gordonsville, Jo Byrns, Eagleville, Bruceton, Dresden, and South Fulton. Gordonsviile is probably the favorite but I wont say it will be an easy road. With the right draw any of the 8 could win it.
