Greenbrier vs Fulton

How did Ridgeway beat Fulton??

 

If it's not pertaining to this year's team what does it really matter? Both these teams may have some of the same players, but they are not the same TEAM, so games from last year are really not relevent.

Thanks Bigwheel. We were REALLY hoping to stick around Saturday and watch the Blue Devils. We'll see you in week 10 next year. By then, both of our teams should be pretty beaten and banged up.

Well i finally decided to get over the loss to melrose and get back to posting on here, so good luck to Greenbrier saturday , ill definantly be there cheering for you all... my prediction

The bottom line is that this year's team is better than last year's team. We are much more athletic at the QB position this year and much better at covering the passing game than we were a year ago. Some guys have really stepped up their play from last year and are playing "lights out" football. We also have much better overall team speed this year over last year's team.

 

As far as the Covington game last year, this is my take on it. We played a good game, we just got wore down in the trenches. If you remember, they had a HUGE O-line and D-line and they finally wore us down. The score was 7 - 6 with just over 7 minutes left in the game and they scored on two long runs in the final minutes to make the final score 20 - 6.

 

That is why I was extremely impressed with Fulton's team last year. When I watched the Championship on TV, they were very impressive. But, as someone said, that was last year and this is this year. You had your year last year.....hopefully, this will be our year!

Agreed. I've never seen a team fold as quickly as Covington did last year in the title game. When they went for it on 4th and long on their first drive and didn't get it and Fulton scored on one or two plays, it just seemed to take the life out of them.

Just went to the Fulton Football website. WOW! HIGHLY IMPRESSIVE for a high school football website. Lots of good info and pages.....game previews.....game wrap-ups....stats....pictures.....backgrounds......layout......etc., etc., etc.

That did make it interesting... the other common opponnet was Macon Co...

Fulton played them in the semis and shut them out. Greenbrier played them in preseason. I would have loved to seen Fulton and Greenbrier last year.

 

Don't really matter about last year though. Greenbrier has a different look to me.

 

Less than 50 hours from game time.

i believe Greenbrier matched up with Fulton better last year than Covington did that is just my personal opinon I think this will be a great game but i do think Greenbrier leaves Floyd Stadium as State Champs come Satuday

If anybody's got video footage, he'd be the one. What ever happened with the Greenbrier Sports Scene? That was a pretty good site too. Especially the startup music....
