If you hold them to 30...you will have played a good defensive game. You'll have to outscore them to beat them. We held them to 14 in 3 quarters until they found our weaknesses. If you can run and control the clock...you have a chance. That will be difficult to do. You gave up 26 to White House in a half. I think Fulton's offense is much better than White House's. They are very disciplined and athletic. They take what you give them. It's difficult to take everything away.

Go back and look at last years stats in that playoff game, if I'm not wrong he had over 100 yards receiving, this year he had the game winning catch, I could be wrong but that might be doing something. The reply from Smith County fan, you are right, consider yourself having a good defensive game if you hold us under 30, you will have to outscore us. We have way too many weapons to shut us down, it wont happen. It might take a lil while, but we'll find your weakness, you think you are in the game and then a few minutes later you look and before you know it we have you by 2 touchdowns. i think Fulton will repeat as 3A state champions. Greenbrier is a good team, but i know the falcons can pull this won off with a big win.

i think fulton will win, although, anything can happen, and i think greebrier is a pretty equal team to fulton. so it could happen! but if fulton wins, it would make the lc panthers look better, from what i hear, so go fulton!

How wood it make lenior city look better??? LC might have beaten them in regular season but we all know what fulton did to them in the second round of the playoffs 42-12. But anyways....

Greenbrier has had a great deal of success this year on controlling the clock. 41 plays to 6 in the 2nd half against a very athletic JSS team is one example. I'm sure that Fulton's offense is explosive but I doubt that they pass the ball as well as White House and from looking at the stats, White House has a better running game. IF, Fulton comes out and throws the ball as precise and successful as WH did, then no one will beat them. I think Fulton sometimes throws the ball up and hopes that the athletic recievers will win the jump ball. White House's passing game isn't like this. They're very precise with every throw and their receivers are very disciplined. Ladd in the backfield (4A Mr. Football finalist) completes their package.

Sorry, Antwan, but our offense helped Greenbrier prepare for an offense like yours, and I seriously doubt your offense was any better than ours. I think your QB will be on the run all day and probably on his back at least 4 times. Deep routes are hard to throw when your QB is runnin' for his life.

You must not have seen any film on Austin East.  I think many secondaries can play Fulton's WR.  Tip toe vs AE has not done anything.  Only one player has made plays against AE DB's for Fulton...E. Bishop who played with them all of his high school career except this year. Once again this is no hating but I don't think Fulton passing game is that scary.  Last years QB-WR's were much better. The QB is good but young. He does throw the ball up for grabs.  (Your DB's just have to go up and get it vs. Bishop. Bishop was taught how to time his jump and root you out by his old coach at AE. He told him to use his frame in a jump ball situation. (Watch out for that)) The QB can get rattled. #8 Tip Toe is very good after the catch but can be covered. Bishop can sometime press if things are not going his way. Fulton also has a backup QB who actually throw the ball better.So don't  complacent if the starter goes out. They are like UT in that they can go with which ever one is hot. But their starter is doing the right things at the right time. If he doesn't try to do to much and they can establish a running game Fulton should do well. But if they don't establish a running game and have to throw it up for grabs then Greenbriar will have a good chance to win. The reason they beat AE this year is they was able to establish the running game early. At half time the coaches must have figured it out because they stuffed them.  But by then their linebackers were so concern about the runnning game that they didn't get good drops and read keys for screens and draws. Ae front is so good about making plays and McAllister is so good that your running game is usually stopped. But Fulton brougth it to them. So give Fulton's young O-line credit for that and their coaches.

I find it funny how these AE fans continue to infiltrate our Playoff thread for their own agendas and to continue making lame excuses. I know it pains them, b/c this was “AE’s Year,” but it is time to step-off and not tarnish our Championship game!!!

 

We really want to focus on Greenbrier at this time, but I feel prompted to share what is my best memory from the AE/Fulton playoff game: At the half, I had to run to my car and missed our first drive of the second half…as I was walking back to the stadium, Fulton scores to make it 21-0…I then see a group of AE fans that were gather around the back side of the visitors stands, walking towards me (on their way out)…One of the fans screams out, “D@#$, we’ll have to hear it for another year.” Now that was PRICELESS!!!
